Isle of Wight Festival 2009
posted 14 June 2009
On Friday 12 June, Bananarama headlined the Big Top stage at the Isle of Wight Festival. The girls gave an outstanding performance and won over an audience of 20 000 people. As an attendee reported: "They showed a thing or two about a live show. Immense!"

The set listed included some of the band's greatest hits (Cruel Summer, Really Saying Something, Robert de Niro's Waiting, Nathan Jones, I Heard A Rumour, Love In The First Degree, Venus, Na Na Hey Hey) as well as the first performance of their upcoming single 'Love Comes', completed by the cover of two huge hits: IIo's 'Rapture' and Bryan Adams' 'Run To You'.

The girls had a great time on stage. And the fun continued backstage, where they were joined by their friend Keith Flint from The Prodigy, who was also performing at the festival.

Gigs in Germany and Denmark
posted 7 June 2009
The girls enjoyed the festivals at which they performed in Germany on June 5 and Denmark on June 6. However they had a scare on the flight to Billund when the plane had to turn back to Frankfurt due to engine trouble. They were greeted on landing by 20 fire engines and ambulances !
And then on the next day their flight home was cancelled due to technical problems. So Sara, Keren and the dancers spent the night at the Legoland hotel "which turned out to be quite good fun !"
